Bodywork
and Energywork existed as long as 15,000 B.C. and
is documented in cave paintings by the Pyrenees and depicted
as therapeutic touch. In India, as long as 8,000 B.C. yoga
practitioners used breathing exercises to promote healing.
Over 2,000 years ago, the Chinese practiced the manipulation
of pressure points, known as meridians. In 1700 B.C., an ancient
Egyptian papyrus shows detailed knowledge of adjustments being
made to the spinal column with massage. As far back as the
ancient Greeks and Romans massage was noted for its medical
benefits. Even early Christians and royalty used the laying
of hands as a method of healing.
Michelle is a trained body & energy worker. She is also
a transpersonal coach, who has the ability through her training
and intuition combined to help clients transcend to greater
levels of awareness and mastery of self. This in turn can
promote healing on many levels by creating relaxation and
a sense of balance within the body, mind and spirit. These
can be viewed as stress relief and self awareness treatments.
Body
& Energy Work
The essence
of Bodywork is a form of communication. The term bodywork
is different from massage because it is more encompassing.
It includes traditional massage therapy techniques, aromatherapy,
herbology, and other approaches to working with the body.
The common goal is to provide relaxation, pain relief, improved
physical functioning, enhanced feeling of energy and well-being.
This in turn increases awareness.
Energywork is referred to as the laying of
hands above or on the body and uses "ki" or "universal
life energy" to bring balance and harmony to the body,
mind and spirit. Reiki aligns this energy within the body
and its energetic systems known as Chakras. This ancient Japanese
practice draws on two techniques: Placing of hands where principal
organs and glands are located with the use and visualization
of special symbols allowing the transmutation of healing energy.
This can be done even at a distance. It can be combined with
bodywork for a more powerful experience and is used often
for self-transformation. It does not represent any religious
dogma and is used often in hospitals.
Michelle's Experience
I
am what is known as a Tantrica who practices
the art of Tantra. Tantra is not a religion;
it is a path of the heart, which causes the experience of
ecstasy, enlightenment, or truth, regardless of one's faith.
It is the synergy between sexuality and spirituality. The
focus is on the highest purest of intentions and acting for
the higher good of another person. The art of giving and receiving
on many levels in our daily life, and is not all about instant
gratification or acting on sexual urges. In fact, it is about
self control and mastery that heightens the senses and awareness.
In turn, individuals can experience more fulfillment in life
and in the bedroom. The practice gives me a feeling of freedom
and I am more in tune with myself. I was not trained to be
a Tantrica. I was naturally practicing and was unaware that
I was doing it with others. The practice of tantra is often
misunderstood. The focus is on creating balance and feeling
more centered so that we become more whole. It teaches transcendence
of desires so we are not fearful but can reach our dreams,
connect greater with people and reach our potential.
When
we open our hearts to people, we find happiness and the world
around us becomes a better place. We become fearless and no
longer fear ourselves or the people around us. It is about
being truthful with ourselves and learning to explore our
darkness so that, it too, can come to balance. Many techniques
are used to achieve this, such as body, breath, yoga, massage,
the karma sutra (for lovers) and meditation. My background
as an energy worker includes, Reiki I & Reiki II (one
step away from a Reiki Master). I have completed two self
mastery courses held by Maryke Barclay (www.indigolightinstitute.net)
called Healing with Light II and the Advanced version called
Healing with Michael III. Both have heightened my intuition
and desire to do more spiritual work. The work focuses on
"universal energy" and not religion. Although the
lessons of the greatest spiritual teachers and masters are
utilized. I was baptized as a Christian in my early 20's and
in 2005, I became a Catholic. I have always allowed myself
to go with the flow and allowed what called me to guide me.
It was after some dark periods of my life, I decided it was
time to step up and face the truth about the meaning of life
and my purpose. I could be seen as confused for the many practices
I respect, but I am only a student of the world's largest
religions and ancient practices. As mystical as these practices
sound, there is scientific evidence and research that shows
that much is simply physics and it is the mystical experiences
I have had throughout my life that has made me a believer.
All that I believe I have been able to measure. I am a testimonial
of these practices and everything I have achieved in life
is a result of my belief in them. Maryke's workshops validated
what I have always know about meaningful connections that
seemed to be more than coincidence and how fate plays an important
role in destiny. Hence the infamous book and video called
"The Secret". The Law of Attraction and my awareness
is why all experiences I have had led me onto my path that
involved a much higher purpose. I plan to do more speaking,
writing and teaching related to this in years to come.
All it takes is an open mind and these practices can
be done on very subtle to intense levels in person or on the
phone. Please contact me if you are ready to embark on the
journey of transcendence and self mastery. You too can reach
your dreams, even the ones that seem impossible…These
services can be performed in person or on the phone.
